All New Turbocharged Buick Regal

The 2014 Buick Regal is getting an upgrade to its engine this year.  Yep Buick is adding an awesome little turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder engine to the Regal that will come standard.  I am a girl who likes a car with a little power behind the wheel.  The Regal delivers.  And the new engine is just the beginning of what makes this an amazing car that can be found at your Thunder Bay Buick Cars dealer.

Buick engineers took the new engine from the Cadillac ATS.  It produces a meager 259 horsepower and 295 lbs. per feet of torque.  This beats out the competition like the BMW 320i with only 180 horsepower and 184 lbs. per ft. of torque and the Lexis IS 250 which is a V6 with 204 horsepower and 185 lbs. per ft. of torque.  Yep that’s right this car kicks some major booty.  Best part is even with the extra power, it still has great fuel economy with 48 kpg highway and 34 kpg city.  And it even comes in an all-wheel drive model.

The interior is refined yet sporty.  As is customary with all Buicks, it has an upscale feel and only quality materials grace the inside of this car.  One of my favorite feature especially this time of year are the heated seats and heated steering wheel.  If you are like me and my husband, you may be different heights and are constantly readjusting the seat after he/she has been in the car.  Well the Regal has a memory feature that takes the inconvenience of two different drivers away.

Technology is not lost on the new Regal either.  Buick’s Intellink hands free audio system will let you accesses all of your audio needs with just the push of a button and your voice.  It also connects to your smart phone for Bluetooth audio and call access.  All of this and a touch screen display that plays both SiriusXM and Pandora.  This is a car that is both powerful and smart.  Go check one out today and see what makes this car one of the best on the road today.

Big on Space and Style, Small on Size and Your Wallet

The GMC Terrain is the SUV for guys who don’t want to be seen driving a sissy SUV.  This is one masculine looking small SUV.  GMC designers have a made a small SUV that resembles its big brothers the Sierra and Yukon. This is a car that is filled with military grade materials.  To me, it’s like GMC took all the good things from their Hummer line and put them into this little beast.

As I just mentioned the exterior is very masculine but it is also refined.  This is a GMC after all and only the best will suffice.  Projector beams and fog lamps light up the road for you.  Aluminum wheels grace comes standard.  The lighter weight helps with fuel economy.  This may be a “small” SUV, but it has a commanding feel on the road.

The interior is a little more upscale than your average SUV.  It comes with a color touch screen radio and has available Pioneer speakers.  The Terrain comes standard with a rear view camera.  This makes parking a breeze and backing out a drive much safer.  Two other available features are designed to keep you warm and make life a little more comfortable are the heated front seats and remote start.  And speaking of comfort, this small SUV has ample leg room in the back and plenty of cargo space for all of your stuff.

A standard 2.4 liter four cylinder engine comes standard, but if you need more power a 3.6 liter six cylinder engine is available.  The Terrain has an estimated fuel economy of 51 hwy kpg and 35 city kpg.  Front wheel drive comes standard but all-wheel drive is available.  Your GMC Trucks dealer in Thunder Bay will show you all the advantages to each engine. Overall this is a great small SUV with a big SUV feel.

The Verano, Small But Mighty Luxurious

The new 2014 Buick Verano ranks in the top 3 of upscale small cars according to the critics on several car websites.  Critics seem to agree that this little car delivers a smooth ride with beautiful interior accents and amazingly lots of space.  Buick is known for its attention to detail, and on the Verano, they have left nothing out.

Driving around town in the available turbo charged 4-cylinder engine give you the sense you are in a much sporty car.  A manual transmission is also available to really get the sportster feeling going.  But the standard 4-cylinder engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission is sufficient enough for the average driver.  The Verano is pretty efficient with an estimated 32 highway mpgs.  But all the critics agree on one thing that this car drives smooth.

The Verano has a very luxurious feel with its cabin.  It has beautiful accents of wood and leather.  Standard features include: satellite radio, OnStar, a touch screen display for a six speaker stereo, rear view camera, Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity, and a steering wheel with audio controls.  If that’s not enough for you, you can get a couple upgrades such as navigation, a push button start, or a nine speaker Bose sound system.

To keep you safe Buick has made some improvements on the new Verano such as the blind spot monitoring.  Sensors also look out for rear parking and rear cross traffic.  This is one protective car.  And then there is the ten air bags that come standard. Buick engineers strive to make this car one of the safest on the road.

So if you are looking for a small car that has all the sophistication of a large sedan and the luxury of a Buick, the Verano is car for you.  Stop by your Buick Cars dealer in Ontario to test drive one today.
